We are delighted to offer you the opportunity to join us for a very special Rugby World Cup Gala Dinner with the legendary Max Boyce MBE. The event in partnership with ACCA Cymru Wales and The Management Centre, Bangor University will be in support of Ty Gobaith Children’s Hospice, just days before the much anticipated Rugby World Cup semi-finals. Hosted by Rupert Moon, the dinner will be held at the luxurious 4 star Quay Hotel & Spa, Deganwy on Wednesday 23rd October 2019.
Max rose to fame during the mid-1970s with an act that combined musical comedy with his passion for rugby union and his origins in the mining communities of South Wales. Having sold more than two million albums in a career spanning four decades, and playing to full houses all around the world, Max is one of the most successful and enduring entertainers in Welsh history.
Max’s greatest musical success in recent years was his 2003 tour of Australia, coinciding with the Rugby World Cup which was being hosted there at the time. He held concerts in Adelaide and Melbourne, but the highlight was his sold-out performance at the Sydney Opera House, which was later released on DVD as Max Boyce: Down Under.
The evening will commence at 7.30pm and will include a sumptuous two-course dinner, charitable raffle and auction. The dress-code is Black Tie.
